What are the requirements to become a member of the
Colorado Society?
Fellow members are holders of valid and unrevoked CPA certificates issued by the Colorado State Board of Accountancy or by authority of other states or territories of the United States or the District of Columbia.
Associate members are non-CPAs who are:

Members of the professional or administrative staff of Colorado CPA firm ,or
-
Persuing further requirements to become a CPA, having completed the academic requirements to become a CPA, or
-
Accounting professionals employed in industry, government, or not-for-profit organizations in Colorado, or
-
Faculty members in accounting at accredited colleges or universities, or
- Non-CPA owners of CPA firms.
Student Members are part-time or full-time students in a post secondary accounting program that satisfies the academic preparation requirements for the CPA examination. Student membership ceases upon graduation and may be transferred to Associate or Fellow membership if bylaws requirements are met.
What are the requirements for Peer Review?
The program requires any firm engaged in the practice of public accounting, whose owners are members of the AICPA to be enrolled in a practice monitoring program. It is also a membership requirement of the Colorado Society of Certified Public Accountants (CSCPA). More information.
