FASB Changes Position on FIN 48 Effective Date for Private Companies
On October 15, FASB reconsidered the scope of the effective date deferral for private companies for FIN 48 (Financial Interpretation No. 48, Accounting for Uncertainty in Income Taxes). The effective date has now been deferred for all private companies until fiscal years beginning after December 15, 2008, i.e. until 2009 for calendar-year companies. |

Colorado CPE Requirements and Deadlines
As we near the end of 2009, please be certain you’ve met the state board’s requirement—80 hours of CPE, including an ethics course—to renew your certificate in 2010. There’s no need to miss the deadline. The CSCPA is running CPE classes in Denver and throughout Colorado until the end of the year. |

Download a Parking Permit
To park on any level of the CSCPA garage, download a parking permit. Be sure to print it in red on a color printer. Place it on your dash board, permit side up so it can be read.
CSCPA Parking Information
All visitors and course participants to the CSCPA office must park on Level C of the underground parking garage. Access this parking area via either the east or west entrance to the garage, located north of the building. Make sure that when you enter the building from this level the sign in the elevator lobby entrance indicates you are on Level C. Any vehicles not parked on Level C and not displaying an appropriate parking pass will be towed at your expense.
CSCPA Business Hours
The CSCPA office is open Monday through Thursday, 7:30 a.m. to 5: 30 p.m. and 7:30 a.m. to noon on Friday. Through www.cocpa.org, we are open 24/7/365 providing access to information and services electronically.
