Credit Cards

You may register and pay for any CPE Program or conference using VISA, MasterCard, Discover Card, check, or cash. We accept written, online, phone, or in-person registrations. Facsimile registrations will be accepted.

Members who are Walk-ins

If you must walk-in to a class without registering in advance, you will be charged the nonmember fee.

Materials/Advance Preparation

Most courses we offer require no advance preparation. The CSCPA orders course materials based upon the number of prepaid registrants for each course. Walk-in participants will be admitted upon payment of fee and as space permits. At the first course break, any extra manuals available will be distributed to walk-ins. All registrants must prepay in full before admittance to any program. Individuals with outstanding unpaid registration fees from the prior year will not be able to register for current courses including seminars, conferences, self-study CPE, or customized firm and company On-site training until outstanding bills are current.

Airline Policy

If too few register for a course, we will cancel it seven days in advance of the presentation date, and will notify you. We try not to cancel programs, but we must occasionally. In order to avoid travel cancellation penalties please remember the “seven days out” rule of thumb if you must make airline reservations.

Date/Location Changes

If more people register for a course than we can accommodate we may change the location, and will notify you. If we must reschedule or cancel a class for which you have already registered, we will notify you by letter or telephone if possible. We rarely cancel courses at the CSCPA due to bad weather conditions. If you cannot get to a course location due to bad weather, please call the CPE department immediately so that we can notify the instructor. A CPE staff member will work with you to find another course you can attend.

Meals

To request a vegetarian or fruit plate at any Society program held at a hotel, inform the Society staff person with whom you check-in the day of the class. At lunch, just identify yourself to your waitperson.

Carpooling

Call the CPE department to find out who from your area has registered for a particular course. We will give you the names and phone numbers of participants with whom you might share a ride.

Cellular Telephones and Pagers

All participants who bring cellular telephones or pagers to class will need to keep them turned off. This is to ensure an optimum learning environment for all program participants. Individuals who need to receive calls should leave the classroom to await the call.
