Knowledge Networks

In its former life, a Knowledge Network was a technical committee. Today, it’s any number of members coming together based on common interests. Knowledge Networks meet to share ideas, discuss information, and ask and answer questions. They are supported through technology, mainly listservs. They may have a technical or non-technical focus, and they are "open" – you may join or drop off at any time.

You can join any number of Knowledge Networks and tap unlimited networking opportunities and resources. As an active member of a Knowledge Network, you build relationships with a community of colleagues who share your specific interests. With this group of peers you discuss issues of mutual interest. Become involved in a Knowledge Network, and you benefit from an invaluable network of colleagues.

Federal Tax

The Federal Tax Knowledge Network assists members in maintaining and expanding their professional competence and maintains liaison with the IRS and AICPA Federal Tax Division.

The group's monthly meetings at the CSCPA office are a great place to meet CPAs who speak your language and IRS people who work on the same issues from the other side of the table.  The group also organizes an annual IRS/Practitioner Liaison Meeting in the fall, which brings together CPAs, attorneys, enrolled agents, and high-level IRS representatives in an informal setting.

State Tax Forum

This group's mission is to assist members in maintaining and expanding their professional competence in state and local taxes; to maintain liaison with appropriate state and local taxing authorities and the Colorado General Assembly; to review existing and proposed legislation and regulations; and to initiate action as required.
