The Finance Director is responsible for the financial health of Quail Run Association, Inc., a 265- residence community and golf club. Accomplished through timely reporting of financial information to the General Manager and Board, protection of the Association’s assets through proper risk assessment and compliance with professional standards. Oversees the accounting and IT functions, financial analyses, generating reports, establishing and monitoring budgets and monitoring compliance with laws and regulations.  


  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting 
  • Certified Public Accountant for a minimum of 5 years
  • Minimum of 10 years of related experience, including 5 years of supervisory experience


  • Experience with HOA or CIRA accounting and income tax filing requirements


Strong emphasis on taking a hands-on role to provide leadership for the accounting and IT team as well as support the General Manager. Passion to solve problems at all levels; from strategic planning to detailed financial analysis. Superior oral and written communication skills, Leadership and change management abilities, thorough understanding and experience working and complying with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), professional Code of Conduct and Code of Ethics. Ability to demonstrate a high level of ethical behavior and maintain confidentiality with sensitive matters. Extensive knowledge of accounting, reporting, analysis, budgeting, compliance, risk assessment, and technology acquired through related work experience. Experience with an integrated ERP system as well as Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Leadership skills needed to proactively drive and deliver high impact results through collaborative and independent efforts.

This person will play a critical role in overseeing the organization, communication, and preparation within the Tax Preparation Department. 


  • Prepare and File, both multi-states and federal, Personal and Business Income Tax Returns
  • Manage communication, tasks, and status for book of 120-200 clients
  • Initiate Client contact regarding services and pricing
  • Manage communication and tasks for 2-4 employees
  • Builds relationships with clients and within the company to achieve trust and satisfaction.
  • Support periodic (monthly) production reports


  • 3-5 years’ experience in preparing returns
  • Active CPA or EA License and possess a PTIN
  • Thorough knowledge of Tax Rules and accounting procedures
  • Familiarity with basic accounting programs
  • Acute attention to detail
  • Self- Motivated and organized
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Willingness to learn new procedures and elevate the current standards
