Oh, the Places You Can Go as a CPA: Alex’s 12-Year CPA Journey

It’s Never Too Late to Pursue Your Dream

Alex began her career in public accounting as an auditor and after a few years, she moved into the nonprofit sector taking on various accounting roles. Almost 10 years after graduating with her Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Alex enrolled in an Accounting Master’s program and accepted a position back in public accounting doing both tax and audit. After completing her master’s degree, Alex successfully passed the CPA exam and fulfilled her dream of becoming a CPA. Since then, she has moved back to industry and currently works in Governmental and Nonprofit Accounting as the CFO of the Pueblo City-County Library District.
