In his January 18, 2023 Tax Update, Don will cover provisions of the Inflation Reduction Act, new RMD rules, new exceptions from filing Schedules K-2 and K-3 with 2022 returns, and the new Colorado PTE tax, Don will also cover key retirement plan provisions of the SECURE Act 2.0 included in the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2023 signed by President Biden on December 29, 2022. In addition, he will bring you up to date on the avalanche of new releases by the IRS in late December including releases explaining the new 2023 credits for energy efficient home improvements, and various notices explaining which vehicles qualify for the new electric vehicle credits available beginning in 2023 (including the requirements for the credit for commercial electric vehicles).
